Welcome If you have always wanted to explore your creative spirit or wish to get back into art practice then come along to one of my classes. The courses are open to all, from the beginner and intermediate to the more experienced artist. You may enjoy my Higham Hall course, Finding Inspiration through Watercolour held on 15th - 17th October 2023 in the Northern Lake District. Weekly Classes & Workshops If you live in Cumbria or Lancashire, you can attend my Rainbow Paintbox art workshops series. I will be also holding regular classes and workshops in South Lakeland for inspirational painting. The art groups welcome new members, whatever level of experience to join a vibrant painting community in Cumbria. I have a wide range of knowledge in many media, using traditional and contemporary methods and have taught people from a variety of backgrounds. You can work with me in watercolour, acrylic, or mixed-media. Gift a Creative You may like to gift a family member or friend to one of my courses, to help them find their creative expression. If you have any questions about my events, please do get in touch. All ability-levels are welcome on my courses. View the Courses page or the Art Holidays page for upcoming events or keep up-to-date with the latest news on social media and follow work-in-progress from the studio. ART MATERIALS CHECKLISTIf you are coming on a Rainbow Paintbox taster day, basic water-based paints in the colours of the rainbow will be adequate. To attend one of my watercolour courses it is advisable to collect the various colours suggested, but as this can be quite costly, a more limited palette can initially be used and added to gradually. Pigments in italic are not essential at the beginning of the course. Artists may wish to purchase them later to complete a wider range of colours. Tubes are recommended if buying for the first time. Depending on your budget you can purchase artists' quality paints from the Winsor & Newton range or student quality in the Cotman series.
